WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY CAUSES OF TEETH DISCOLORATION?
Teeth begin to lose their original white color for a variety of reasons. The teeth maybe stained due to following reasons:

• Trauma to a tooth by a fall / blow resulting in direct impact to the nerve causes decomposition of pulp (nerve) tissue which result in discoloration of the tooth.
• Medicament like tetracycline group of antibiotics, tend to stains teeth.
• Following root canal treatment.
• Extrinsic stains (due to tobacco, coffee, tea, smoking etc.)

WHAT DOES TOOTH WHITENING INVOLVE?

Depending on the staining, tooth whitening usually, might require two visits. Impressions (molds) will be made of your teeth to fabricate custom, clear plastic, trays.

The trays are dispensed with special whitening solution and placed in your mouth for 30 minutes or more depending on the degree of staining and desired level of whitening. It is normal to experience tooth sensitivity during the time we are whitening your teeth, but it will subside shortly after we have stopped bleaching.

You will receive after care instructions for your teeth, and be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly to help maintain a beautiful, healthy, white smile.
