Teeth Whitening

Who doesn’t want sparkling white teeth to make lasting impressions?
Are you longing for a perfect smile for a picture perfect wedding album?
Do you crave for a million dollar smile to create the first impression at your job interview?
Are you hoping to get the brightest smile to win the heart of your love interest? You’ll be surprised at what’s possible with the teeth whitening treatments at S.P.E Dental Center.

At S.P.E Dental Center, we offer a range of different teeth whitening options to help you ‘whiten’ your teeth and achieve a lighter and brighter smile. Teeth whitening can’t make your teeth brilliant white, but it can lighten the existing colour by several shades. Teeth whitening is the one of the most requested cosmetic dentistry treatment. That’s not surprising when you consider it’s one of the easiest ways you can feel more confident when you smile. Plus, whiter teeth instantly make you look years younger.

WHAT DOES TOOTH WHITENING INVOLVE?

Zoom whitening (often called Philips Zoom! teeth whitening) is a professional, in-office teeth whitening system that uses a combination of a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel and a special blue LED light to remove stains and discoloration from tooth enamel.

 1. Preparation

  • The dentist first examines your teeth and gums to ensure they’re healthy enough for whitening.

  • Your lips and gums are covered with a protective barrier or rubber dam, leaving only the teeth exposed.

 2. Application of Whitening Gel

  • A hydrogen peroxide gel (usually 25%–35%) is carefully applied to the surface of the teeth.

  • This gel is the active bleaching agent that breaks down stains.

 3. Activation with LED Light

  • The Zoom LED light is positioned over your teeth.

  • The blue light helps accelerate the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide, speeding up the release of oxygen molecules.

  • These oxygen molecules penetrate the enamel and dentin, oxidizing stains and lightening the tooth color.

 4. Treatment Cycles

  • The procedure typically involves three or four 15-minute cycles.

  • After each cycle, the dentist may remove and reapply fresh gel for optimal results.

 5. Post-Treatment

  • Once whitening is complete, a fluoride gel or desensitizing solution is applied to reduce sensitivity.

  • You’ll get aftercare instructions—usually including avoiding staining foods (coffee, wine, tobacco) for at least 24–48 hours.

 6.Results and Longevity

  • Teeth can become up to 8 shades lighter after one session.

  • Results last 6 months to 2 years, depending on your diet, oral hygiene, and habits.

  • You can maintain brightness with at-home touch-up kits provided by your dentist.
